I agree with the author.
Because women is interested in romantic love.

I often talk with my friends about LOVE(women say it's "koi-bana" or "girl's talk"). for example, ideal love situation, ideal boyfriend and husband, and so on. Generally, I think women is more interested in romantic love than men.
In an article, Japanese men are less interested in love, let alone such an "omoni (heavy burden)" as marriage and "kosodate (child-rearing)."
I think almost Japanese men like women, but some of them think love (or marriage) is messy. Almost women have ideal love. Especially, when men are forced women's ideal love, they think messy. I think men have a thinking that love is light.
I like to talk about love, too. Girl`s talk is always interesting :)
