1.Have you ever eaten in a restaurant in a foreign country? Where? What did you eat? Did you make any mistakes? Please explain your experience.
Yes, I have.

For example, "Burger King", "KFC" and so on.
But, in London, I ate a Japanese curry and sushi with my friends. It was Japanese food restaurant! No one made mistakes particularly. Of course, that is the reason why we are Japanese:)
2. Did you learn anything?
In a store of fast food in England, I was surprised!! Basically, people must clear the table after they have finished a meal in Japan. But, some people keep putting a tray on a table in a big store of fast food in England.

Personality is the most important thing for me because I feel bad with a bad personality person. I need communication between people and people in my life, and I want to have communication with a good character person. If a partner have very different personalities, I can't enjoy my life. Income and looks are the second important things for me. People can't live without money, so income is very important to live. Really speaking, money is necessary for people. Also, I like nice looking guys. I think first impressions are appearance.
Next, the third important thing is sense of values. I can't associate with a person who have different my sense of value. I think that values gap makes bad relations.

1. How do you greet members of your family? (mother, father, older brother, younger brother, grandparents, etc.)
I usually greet my family surly because I don't like morning. If I greet friend, I try to say hello with a smile. In case of family, We can let down our guard with each other, so I can be my natural self.
2. How do you greet people that are important in society?
I try to greet people that are important in society carefully. For example, I make a bow and use polite language. I think that it is a rule of Japan.
3. Do you greet people from the opposite sex in a different way?
Sometimes I do, but sometimes I don't. When I meet close friends, I greet them typically. On the other hand, when I meet someone new, I say hello with awkward manner. The reason that I do is I'm shy.
4. Do you hug anyone? If yes, who and when. If no, why not?
No, I don't. It is difficult for me to hug because I'm shy. I think that hug is good way to be in communication with each other, but some people may not like to hug. If I hug them, it is rude. I think it is good to hug people become more close relation.

Homework*3
How do you greet people in your life?
I try to say hello with a smile. It is important for me to smile because I think smile has power to connect a person and a person with. When a person says hello with a smile, oneself becomes glad.
Recently, I go for walking. Then, I say hello even if I meet a stranger. I enjoy communicating with people.
Is it different for different people? How so and why?
When I say hello with a stranger, I am careful about the first impression. The greetings to make a stranger are different from a friend. If I greet a stranger, I make a bow and use a term of respect for the person. But, I raise a hand lightly and say hello if I greet a friend. We must not take attitude that you are rude to a person meeting for the first time. It is one of the rules in society of Japan. But there is a common point. It is to say hello to friend or stranger with a smile. I think that an impression to the partner improves by doing it.
Do you touch people when you talk to them? Why? Or Why not?
Sometimes I do, but sometimes I don't. I change my manner of it by distance with the person. Of course, I do a body touch to a good friends when talk to them. I do it with all friendly feeling. However, I don't do it to a stranger or friends whom I don't have the interval. The reason why there is still the distance of the heart. There may be the person hate to touch the unknown person. I think that people should touch other person after known each other.

It is uncommon custom in Japan. I don't know why it is offered at a grave, but it's custom for me from small. This day, my parents said that ancestor's soul come back. We have to get ready to meet them, so this is only one event a year that we can approach with ancestors. I want Japanese people to value this day.

Bon dancing is performed every year in my town. All neighboring children and adults dance around a very high wooden stage. Everybody enjoy dancing. When I was a schoolchild, it was almost compulsion to participate in this festival. So, I don't know why do it. If I give a reason, I think it is a report to be cheerful this year.

Especially, the class of an English activity of the upper-grade at the elementary school will be required by revising the course of study in the spring of 2011. So, It makes efforts to the dispatch lecturer in English. The number of temporary stafves increased from about 180 to 300 people for two years. However, it is still a reality in Japan that there are a lot of people who do not have knowledge about different culture and an English skill.
In one company, the lecturer takes a special qualification, and it makes efforts to their promotions. Besides this, it tries to enhance training corresponding to unlike the culture, the custom, and school system. After the lecturer deepens understanding, the difference of the culture is sent to each school.
Such a method, Japan will work on the different culture positively.
